We take extraordinary care in all the phases of production to obtain an award winning extra virgin olive oil.

“Early stage of ripening”

A critical time as far as quality is concerned; this is why our olives are picked at the early stage of ripening ensuring a strong presence of phenolic and aromatic substances, which give most of the quality and flavors to the extra virgin olive oil.


We pick the olives from the end of September to the middle of November.

“Within 6 hrs from harvest”

The oil is cold extracted and the olives are processed within 6 hours from harvesting to avoid fermentation.


The mill, located within 5 minutes drive from the olive groves, combines modern extraction technology without addition of water, resulting in a more eco-friendly and top quality extra virgin olive oil.

Storage & Bottling
“Preserving the flavor”

Once extracted the extra virgin olive oil is stored in perfectly clean stainless steel tanks and protected with inert nitrogen to block oxidation.


We store our tanks in our warehouse with temperature under control. We bottle only the extra virgin olive oil that we produce.


A family estate with centenary trees overlooking the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean sea in Calabria and a doctor, my grandfather, who believed in the extraordinary health benefits of high quality extra virgin olive oil.

I grew up playing with my sister and my cousins in the family olive groves, embracing a genuine love for our countryside and our beautiful landscape. We all learned to follow the seasons, the slow process of growth that requires calmness and empathy for nature’s cycles.

Inspired by this significant heritage, my family now in its third generation, continues to invest in quality, innovation and sustainable farming, making Tenute Cristiano available to connoisseurs looking for excellent Italian extra virgin olive oil.

Half Italian half English Scarlett has run the family estate for many years. Her love for nature and her holistic approach are at the heart of our responsible farming. Scarlett's attention to detail and perseverance has made Tenute Cristiano an award winning extra virgin olive oil.




Scarlett’s daughter, Isabella is the soul of Tenute Cristiano. A fine art and food lover, she lives between London and the South of Italy. Strong believer in the Mediterranean diet, considered a lifestyle more than a way of eating, her aim is to make the best Italian extra virgin olive oil.



Quality Manager

Barbara is a sommelier and olive oil expert. She is a food lover and makes amazing dishes. She always says: ``through food you really get to know the culture and the philosophy of a place. From Michelin star restaurants to small unknown little gems, every dish takes you on to a new journey``.
